20 Gauge Shotgun
Auction: Winchester Model 12
Now on auction: a nice Winchester Model 12 pump that’s chambered for 20-gauge. NOTE: Auction ends May 8, 2011. It has a 28-inch barrel with 2-3/4″ chamber that is marked for Modified choke. This shotgun has lots of original blue finish remaining. I’d grade the metal finish at about 95% or better. There are a few handling marks but no rust or pitting. The original buttstock had been shortened with pad added and has been replaced. The replacement stock is of pre-war design and shows significantly more finish wear than the rest of the gun. It might refinish nicely. The original, shortened buttstock will be included. The mechanics are in good working order and there is no looseness at the takedown union (nor has the adjustment collar been moved). The bore is also mirror bright! Weight is 6-pounds, 3-ounces. From the receiver forward, she’s a beauty and should make a very fine shooter!
Auction: Browning Auto-5
Now up for auction: a super clean Browning Auto-5 “Light Twenty” 20-gauge semi-automatic shotgun. Manufactured in Belgium in 1968, this beauty wears a 28-inch ventilated rib barrel with a 2-3/4″ chamber. NOTE: Auction ends May 8, 2011. The barrel is marked “**” for Modified choke. Condition is excellent with about 97-98% original blue finish remaining. The stocks are also in fine shape with some honest handling wear, but no cracks or chips, and it still has the original FN marked buttplate. The mechanics appear to be in perfect working order and the bore is mirror bright. This is a nice one!
